Lifetime disqualified driver charged at Kempsey, NSW

A man, who is disqualified from driving for life, will appear in court later this month after being stopped for a random breath test at Kempsey.

At 8.30am today (Saturday 10 August 2019), police from the Mid North Coast Highway Patrol were conducting stationary random breath testing on Lord Street, East Kempsey.

They stopped a black Nissan Navarra utility and the driver was allegedly unable to produce a current NSW driver’s licence.

Further inquiries revealed the man’s licence was disqualified for life in 2000.

The 49-year-old man was arrested and taken to Kempsey Police Station and charged with

“drive whilst disqualified – subsequent offence’

He was granted conditional bail and will appear before Kempsey Local Court on Monday 26 August 2019.
