Light-fingered theft and deceptions in Lalor

Detectives from Whittlesea Crime Investigation Unit are appealing for public assistance to identify a man following a theft from a car in Lalor and subsequent deceptions in Thomastown and Reservoir.

It’s believed an unknown offender stole a wallet containing credit cards from a car in Serpentine Court between 11pm on 11 June and 4.30am on 12 June.

The stolen credit cards were used at service stations on Spring Street in Reservoir about 6.25am, High Street in Reservoir about 06.05am, High Street in Thomastown about 5.15am and Mahoney Road, Thomastown at an unknown time to purchase cigarettes, an energy drink, a jerry can and fuel.

Police have released an image of a man they believe can assist with their enquiries.
