Limeburners Point Boat Harbour – parking and jetty upgrade

Works are commencing on the upgrade of the overflow carparking area at the boat harbour.

Funded by Better Boating Victoria, additional parking for car-trailer units will be provided together with standard car parking. A new launching jetty for canoes and kayaks will also be installed. Works are expected to be completed prior to summer.

During construction, the main carpark and boat ramps will remain open. Pedestrian access to the south-eastern rock wall will be available until the marine component of the works is undertaken.

Limeburners Point Boat Harbour provides access to Corio Bay and western Port Phillip for a variety of recreational activities including fishing for snapper, flathead, calamari and whiting. It is one of the few harbours in the region providing all-tide access for vessels with deeper drafts.

The current works will occur primarily on land to the south-east of the Harbour. Future stages of proposed work will address upgrading of the offshore breakwater, addition of two new ramps, improved pontoon layout and improved layout of existing parking.
