Lismore and Brewarrina LGAs moves to non-restricted rules

Following NSW Health’s announcement that stay at home orders have been lifted for the City of Lismore and Brewarrina Shire Council local government areas (LGA), Queensland Health will reinstate the non-restricted border zone rules from 1am 23 September.

This will mean the City of Lismore and Brewarrina Shire Council residents and Queenslanders travelling to the these areas will be able to cross the border for more reasons.

For a list of permitted reasons, visit the Queensland Health website.

The border pass system is being updated and people will receive a text message when they can reapply for a pass. In the meantime, please bring proof of residency in those LGAs to the border.

It is vital that anyone with symptoms of COVID-19 gets tested immediately, even if the symptoms are only mild. For a list of testing clinics, please visit www.qld.gov.au/covid19testing.
