The Acting Chief Medical Officer of Australia, Professor Paul Kelly, has released information about the support the Commonwealth will provide to ‘hotspot’ areas.
This includes the stages that will determine a ‘hotspot’ area. Defining a hotspot area will help determine the Commonwealth support needed such as deployment from the National Medical Stockpile, deployment of medical teams and additional support funding.
