Communities across Victoria and the world will be able to enjoy a night of livestreamed music and comedy this Saturday – keeping people connected during the coronavirus pandemic.
Minister for Regional Development Jaclyn Symes today announced the Delivered, Live Streaming Festival will stream live music and comedy acts into the homes everywhere, including those in country communities doing it tough through periods of drought, bushfires and coronavirus.
The lineup features acclaimed Melbourne-born indie artist Alex Lahey, Bob Evans (otherwise known as Jebediah frontman Kevin Mitchell), pop rock artist Ali Barter, indie favourites Even and acclaimed blues singer CW Stoneking.
They’ll be joined by four talented local comedians including Andy Saunders and Sami Shah for a night of live entertainment and advice from experts on managing the effects of feeling isolated.
The festival has been organised by the Victorian Government in partnership with Handshake Agency to provide relief to communities doing it tough while supporting Victoria’s creative industries deal with the impacts of the pandemic.
Viewers will be encouraged to donate by purchasing a ticket, which will go towards supporting creative practitioners and crisis relief service Support Act, as well as contributing to the Bushfire Relief Fund.
Tailored beverage packs from bushfire impacted regional wineries will also be on sale, for delivery to enjoy during the festival.
The Delivered, Live Streaming Festival is the first live streaming festival in support of our regional communities.
The stream will go live at 5pm on Saturday, 4 April at deliveredlive.com.au with tickets available at oztix.com.au.
