Local Government Community Satisfaction Survey

The Local Government Victoria Community Satisfaction Survey is underway.

From now until early March, Surf Coast Shire resident and non-resident ratepayers may receive a call on their landline or mobile phone from an independent market research agency asking questions about council’s performance.

Every year, the state government manages the survey to measure the community’s perception of their council’s performance over the past year.

The survey – which involves 600 telephone interviews – is conducted by National Field Services, an Australian based independent market research agency.

Surf Coast Shire Acting Mayor Councillor Liz Pattison encouraged people to complete the phone survey if they receive a call.

“I know these days people can get a lot of telemarketing and scam calls, so we wanted to let residents know that this a legitimate phone survey run by the state government, that helps councils know how they’re performing. It only takes 10 minutes to complete and we’d love to receive your feedback as it lets us know what we’re doing well and how we can improve.”

“Please be assured that your details and individual responses are confidential. Only the overall results are shared with council,” she said.

If you have questions about the survey you can lodge an online request or call 5261 0600.
