Local Government Week

Local Government Week is celebrated from 31 July to 6 August by local government areas across NSW to showcase the work councils do in their communities.

Cabonne Council will be celebrating by sharing social media posts around the services Council provides to the community.

Elected Councillors will be visiting some of the local schools throughout the region to give a presentation to the students on the role of the local Council within the community.

There will also be the opportunity for residents to chat to Councillors about projects or issues in an informal setting at the ‘Coffee with a Councillor’ session:

  • Cumnock – Monday 31 August – 9am at Cumnock General Store
  • Yeoval – Monday 31 August – 11.30am – 12.30pm at Banjo Paterson Cafe
  • Manildra – Tuesday 1 August – 11am at Coffee on Kiewa
  • Cudal – Tuesday 1 August – 10am – 11am at Platypus Cafe
  • Molong – Wednesday 2 August – 10am at Lime and Stone Cafe
  • Cargo/Borenore – Wednesday 2 August – 11.30am – 12.30pm at Timber Tales, Cargo
  • Eugowra – Thursday 3 August – 10am – 11am at Fat Parcel Cafe
  • Canowindra – Friday 4 August – 10am – 11am at Perennialle Plant

Also, as part of Local Government Week 2023, Cabonne Council is offering vouchers to Cabonne residents to contribute to the cost of vaccinating their dog or cat. This information will be provided during Local Government Week via Council’s Facebook page and website.
