Council and Cleanaway will provide support for our local oyster farmers with waste disposal from their annual Tide to Tip event next Tuesday 22 February 2022.
Our oyster farmers have a close relationship with their local environment. Removing rubbish they find floating in the river is part of the job. The Tide to Tip event helps remove marine debris and litter that washes into the river and raises awareness about the importance of a healthy river system.
Council is also offering free waste disposal for all eligible groups stepping up to clean up for Clean Up Australia Day.
