With Stay-at-Home orders lifted for the Upper Hunter Shire yesterday and NSW School holidays kicking off, the Reflections Holiday Park at Lake Glenbawn is encouraging the local community to dust themselves off and take advantage of the Spring weather and perfect dam conditions.
Reflections Holiday Parks CEO Nick Baker said the lifting of Stay-at-Home orders for the Upper Hunter Shire yesterday was incredibly timely for the Reflections Park at Lake Glenbawn with school holidays starting tomorrow and families desperate for some much-needed R&R.
Lake Glenbawn Park Managers Mal and Leoni Walsh said the park had seen more than 33 bookings since the announcement yesterday with the calls just pouring in.
“Today, we also saw lines of cars coming in to enjoy the reserve and dam area,” they said. “With the perfect weather conditions today, there have been a procession of boats coming through with families for fishing, wakeboarding and just enjoying the water in general.”
“We are loving this new freedom here at the park and our kiosk has been absolutely run off its feet to cater to the extra visitors that have come through the boom gates.
“We also spoke with two campers who bought new vans six weeks ago and were here today on their maiden voyage. They were so excited to be here, and we were excited for them.
“We also want to congratulate all our visitors and guests who are doing the right thing and continuing to check in with their QR codes as per the current Health Orders. This is so heartening to see as people come back to enjoy their friends and family in a safe environment once again.”
Mr Baker said Mal and Leoni were a great team who treated their park guests and visitors like family. “They always go the extra mile to make sure everyone has a good experience and I am delighted for them to see Lake Glenbawn open.”
