Lockridge crash – child struck by car

Detectives from the Major Crash Investigation Section have charged a 44-year-old woman as part of an investigation into a serious crash in Lockridge yesterday, Tuesday 2 November 2021.

It will be alleged around 3.10pm, the woman was driving a Holden Commodore sedan when at the intersection of Diana Crescent and Rosher Road, the vehicle struck an 8-year-old boy crossing the road from a nearby school. It will be further alleged the woman drove away from the scene without stopping.

The boy was taken to Perth Children’s Hospital with serious injuries.

The 44-year-old woman from Lockridge is due to appear before the Midland Magistrates Court on 26 November 2021 charged with:-

• Fail to Stop and Render Assistance after an Incident Occasioning Grievous Bodily Harm;

• Fail to Report an Incident Occasioning Grievous Bodily Harm; and

• No Authority to Drive.
