Logan choir given starring role as part of Beatles' show

Songstress Naomi Price, flanked by a live band, will transport audiences at the Logan Entertainment Centre to 1960’s Liverpool through her show Lady Beatle which will highlight The Beatles’ most monumental hits.

Logan choir Freedom Train has been given the rare chance to work with songstress Naomi Price and perform at her upcoming show Lady Beatle at the Logan Entertainment Centre (LEC).

About 20 members of the choir will take part in a pre-show workshop with Naomi on Sunday, September 29.

Together they will practise The Beatles’ song All You Need is Love and then Freedom Train will perform in the Lounge bar before the show.

Conductor Cath Mundy said the choir’s members were excited about the opportunity to work with Naomi.

“We all love the Beatles and that era, so the choir are super keen to be part of this event,” Ms Mundy said.

She said the group often started its rehearsals with a Beatles singalong accompanied by ukuleles.

Lady Beatle is a kaleidoscopic journey through The Beatles’ most monumental hits.

Naomi, flanked by a live band, transports the audience to 1960’s Liverpool.

The show’s soundtrack includes some of The Beatles’ biggest chart toppers including Lucy in the Sky With Diamonds, Eleanor Rigby, Yellow Submarine and Penny Lane.

The show is at the LEC from 6pm on Sunday, September 29.

Tickets can be bought at the Wembley Rd LEC box office or online via loganentertainmentcentre.com.au/
