Logan Live Music Month returns to strike a chord in 2019

Applications for Logan Live Music Month are open until April 9.

Time is running out for musicians to get involved in the City of Logan’s Logan Live Music Month.

City Lifestyle and Community Committee Chairperson Councillor Steve Swenson said Logan Live Music Month would run throughout July.

It will feature live music at selected Logan cafés, clubs, restaurants and alternative spaces and places.

Musicians based in Logan, or with connections to the city, are encouraged to apply to perform live during the 31-day celebration of local music.

“If you are an artist who wants to perform during the 2019 event or a venue which would like to host a performance we would like to hear from you,” Cr Swenson said.

Cr Swenson said Council had provided funding to match performing artists with venues during last year’s inaugural event and this would happen again in 2019.

“Logan Live Music Month is back bigger and better this July, after more than 75 music performances in cafés, restaurants and clubs throughout the City of Logan in 2018.

“The month of performances will allow us once again to showcase Logan’s emerging and established performers and highlight our city’s amazing eateries.

Anyone interested in taking part in Logan Live Music Month should go online to loganlive.com.au/about and submit the online application form before Tuesday, April 9.
