Look Out, Jo/Joe Rider Is Back On Our Roads

MidCoast Council

The Jo/Joe Rider Motorcycle Awareness Campaign is back across the MidCoast from 1 to 9 October as part of Motorcycle Awareness Month.

Over the next nine days, keep your eyes peeled – you might spot posties and Jo/Joe Rider volunteers travelling throughout the MidCoast in a high-visibility vest.

If you spot a Jo/Joe Rider, tell the Motorcycle Council of NSW where you saw them for your chance to win a daily prize.

Each sighting is a chance to win prizes through daily draws and an end-of-campaign grand prize draw, while also helping spread an important message about sharing the road safely.

The campaign also carries an important road-safety reminder: motorcycles can be easy to miss. Before turning, merging or changing lanes, pause and look again for riders.

The 2026 campaign is being delivered in partnership with the Motorcycle Council of NSW, with local riders helping bring the road safety message to communities across the MidCoast.

Whether you’re behind the wheel, riding a motorcycle or simply out and about, remember to look twice. Motorcycles can be easy to miss, but taking an extra moment to check could make all the difference.
