Elev8 challenges public sector leaders to think beyond the immediate and prepare their teams for the future.
Spending time looking 25 years into the future and thinking about what we might get right, what we might get wrong and what we need to do now to be prepared – that was the focus of The Insightful Leader experience as part of the Elev8 leadership development program.
For Cary Anne Cadman, it was a rare opportunity to step back from day to day demands and focus on long term strategic thinking.
“This experience was incredibly useful for me and for my role as Regional Director at the Department of Water and Environmental Regulation,” she said.
“Previous experiences focused on leadership and management which were valuable – and this one asked us to consider strategic leadership and vision setting.
“We can now take these ideas and operationalise them.
“We also got some really practical tools to identify risks, respond to emerging challenges and create future ready teams. These tools can help us translate future thinking into practical actions that can make a real difference.”
