Love actually will be all around Brisbane Registry

There’s no need to look for it at the airport – love will be all around the Brisbane Registry this Valentine’s Day.

Attorney-General and Minister for Justice Yvette D’Ath said Queensland’s most popular wedding venue was now fully-booked for a romantic day of celebrations.

“Our professional celebrant team is busy putting the finishing touches in place for 19 couples to say ‘I do’ in the room with a view, 32 floors above the heart of Brisbane’s CBD,” Mrs D’Ath said.

“Love will be written in more than just the wind. A neon pink, illuminated ‘Just Married’ sign and a ‘flower wall’ will become photogenic backdrops for newly-weds celebrating their special day.

“I wish all the couples the very best for their special day today and for their future lives together.”

During 2019 the Brisbane Registry hosted 1,905 of Queensland’s 22,178 nuptials, including 126 same-sex marriages.

Wedding ceremonies are held Monday to Saturday (excluding Wednesday), with extended hours on Friday and Saturday for early evening ceremonies.

Due to popular demand, the Registry opens its doors every Thursday from 8.30am to 9.15am to allow couples to meet the celebrants, tour the two ceremony rooms, and take in the stunning Brisbane views.
