Love for Bayside Libraries

Our librarians have been working hard throughout the pandemic to support our most vulnerable and isolated residents stay engaged with contactless deliveries of books and magazines.

Over the last seven weeks we have delivered over 1900 items averaging out to around 272 items per week.

There’s been lots of library love for our friendly librarians from those who received the delivery service during pandemic restrictions.

  • “We have received the book. Thank you for offering a fantastic service. We all have lot more time on our hands so it’s good to fill it with a good book.”
  • “Thank you again for delivering books to my 97 year old dad. He loves reading and because he requires large print he is limited to what novels he can read. He was so excited and pleased when they arrived today.”
  • “Thank you so much for such a terrific service during these challenging times. It was the best surprise and made my day!! So grateful for our lovely local Bayside library!”
  • “I’d like to thank the Bayside City Council Library staff for their ongoing help and deliveries of books to me during the lockdown. The deliveries of books have been a life saver to me during this madness. Thank you”
