The windows of Castle Hill Library are looking extra special thanks to all the children who completed the Mayor’s Magical Colouring Challenge.

Close to 200 drawings will remain on exhibition at the Library until Friday, May 21 at 5pm.

Mayor of The Hills Shire, Dr Michelle Byrne thanked all the children who participated in the challenge.

“I’m so impressed by all the work that has gone into each of these drawings,” Mayor Byrne said.

“They look really impressive!

“It’s added that extra sparkle to our newly renovated library,” Mayor Byrne added.

Castle Hill Library has re-opened after a brief two-month closure for renovations, which included a fresh lick of paint on the walls, new carpet, resealed hardwood floors in the library, as well as a refurbished customer service area. A brand new lift was also installed as part the works.

Adding to this, nine-time bestselling author Belinda Alexandra visited Castle Hill Library on May 5 for the first author talk of the year.

During the sold-out event, she discussed the women who have inspired her, the strong female characters in her books, as well as her new book, The Divine Feline: A Chic Cat Lady’s Guide to Woman’s Best Friend.

Next up, is author Nicola Moriarty, who will be discussing her latest book, You Need to Know, on Thursday May 27. Bookings are essential and can be made online at: https://www.thehills.nsw.gov.au/Upcoming-Events-Activities/An-Evening-in-Conversation-with-Nicola-Moriarty.

If you are visiting Castle Hill Library, you must wear a face mask (until Monday, May 10 under the current Public Health Order) and check-in upon arrival. Hand sanitiser is also available.

Library members can also access the collection via the Hills Shire Library app, which can be downloaded for FREE in the App Store or Google Play.
