Major Milestone for refurbishments at Huntingdale Primary School

  • Hodge Collard Preston Architects appointed to design $1.5 million upgrade at Huntingdale Primary School
  • Project includes refurbishment of two general learning blocks and two toilet blocks
  • Education and Training Minister Sue Ellery today announced that an architect has been appointed to design a major refurbishment at Huntingdale Primary School.

    Local architectural firm Hodge Collard Preston Architects will design the upgrades to two general learning blocks, which includes 16 classrooms.

    This project, which also includes upgrades to toilet blocks, is a McGowan Government election commitment.

    It is anticipated that works will be completed in late 2024.

    As stated by Education and Training Minister Sue Ellery:

    “The McGowan Government is investing heavily in new school builds and upgrades, and this refurbishment will help to support better educational outcomes for students at Huntingdale Primary School.

    “The appointment of architects to design the 16 refurbished classrooms is an important milestone for the project and I look forward to seeing the final designs.”

    As stated by Southern River MLA Terry Healy:

    “As a former school teacher and passionate educator, I know the value of having modern and inspiring environments to teach and learn in.

    “Huntingdale Primary School is an integral part of the local community, and this project will benefit its students for many years to come.”
