Man abducted – Condell Park, NSW

An investigation is underway after a man was abducted from Condell Park yesterday.

Officers attached to Bankstown Police Area Command have been told a 39-year-old man was taken from a home in Third Avenue shortly before 7.30pm (Sunday 9 January 2022).

A crime scene has been established to investigate the circumstances surrounding this incident. Bankstown PAC detectives are being assisted by State Crime Command’s Robbery and Serious Crime Squad.

About 1.25am today (Monday 10 January 2022), a SUV was set alight in an open carpark of a unit block on Lawford Street, Greenacre. Fire and Rescue NSW firefighters extinguished the blaze but not before it had spread to a second vehicle. Detectives are now determining if the SUV is connected to the Condell Park kidnapping.
