Man arrested after body of a man located – Glenmore Park

A man has been arrested after a body was found at Glenmore Park this morning.

Emergency services were called to a home on Wargon Crescent, Glenmore Park, at about 12.50am today (Thursday 16 July 2026), following reports of a fire.

Officers attached to Nepean Police Area Command attended the scene and located the body of a man in front of a partially alight property.

The man, believed to be aged in his 60s, is yet to be formally identified.

Fire and Rescue NSW attended and extinguished the fire.

A crime scene has been established, and detectives have commenced an investigation into the circumstances of the incident.

Following inquiries, a 36-year-old man was arrested after he was found inside a car on Parkes Avenue, Werrington, about 6.45am today (Thursday 16 July 2026).

The man was treated by NSW Ambulance paramedics for minor injuries before he was taken to Nepean Hospital under police guard.
