Man arrested over robbery series, South Australia

A man was arrested yesterday over a recent series of aggravated robberies.

Detectives from the Serious and Organised Crime Branch yesterday, 13 December, arrested a 28-year-old Pooraka man and charged him with three counts of aggravated robbery.

It will be alleged these offences occurred between 1 and 11 December at a second hand dealer at Felixstow, a jewellers at Salisbury Downs and a jewellers at Ingle Farm.

Several properties were searched, including the suspect’s Pooraka home. Detectives allegedly located a sawn-off .22 rifle at this address which resulted in the arrest of a 36-year-old Pooraka man for firearms offences.

Both men were refused police bail and appeared in the Adelaide Magistrates Court today, where they were remanded in custody until 16 July and 14 May.
