Man assaulted at Southern Cross Railway Station

Transit Crime Investigation Unit detectives are appealing for public assistance after a man was assaulted at Southern Cross Railway Station on Anzac Day.

The 29-year-old man attended the Bourke Street overpass about 3.15am on Sunday, 25 April where he was assaulted by two men.

The assault caused the victim to lose consciousness and he was taken to hospital with serious facial injuries.

Investigators have released an image of two men who may be able to assist with their enquiries.

The first man is perceived to be Caucasian in appearance, in his mid-20s with a blonde stubble beard. He was wearing an orange jacket and blue jeans.

The second man is perceived to be Middle Eastern in appearance, in his late teens with black hair. He was wearing a black hoodie and white pants.
