A 22-year-old man has been charged in relation to the wounding incident at Curlew Parade, Claremont, on Friday 14 August.
The man, from New Norfolk, handed himself into police on Saturday afternoon. Investigations continued, and he was charged late on Sunday 16 August.
The charges include:
- Causing grievance bodily harm
- Common assault
- Recklessly discharge a firearm
- Possess a firearm when not the holder of a firearm licence
- Aggravated burglary
- Breach of bail conditions.
He has been remanded to appear in court on Monday 17 August 2026.
A man in his 20s who received a gunshot wound in the incident remains in the Royal Hobart Hospital in a serious condition.
