Man charged over alleged drug supply offences in Leeton

A man has been charged as part of an ongoing drug supply investigation in the Riverina region.

About 11:30am on Wednesday 30 January 2019, following police enquiries, officers from the Murrumbidgee Police District executed a search warrant at a house on Acacia Avenue, Leeton.

During the search, the officers allegedly found and seized a quantity of a white crystallised substance believed to be methamphetamine, dried cannabis leaf, and paraphernalia used in the sale of drugs.

A 44-year-old man was arrested at the scene and was taken to Leeton Police Station where he was charged with possess prohibited drug, supply prohibited drug (small quantity), goods suspected stolen in/on premises, and organises/conducts/assists drug premises.

He was granted bail to appear at Leeton Local Court today and will reappear at the same court on Tuesday 12 February 2019.
