Man charged over alleged ongoing sexual assault of young girl, NSW

A man will face court today charged over the alleged ongoing sexual assault of a young girl known to him in Sydney’s north west.

Detectives from the Child Abuse and Sex Crimes Squad commenced an investigation, after receiving a report that a 14-year-old girl had been sexually assaulted by a man known to her.

Following inquiries, investigators arrested a 34-year-old man at Rouse Hill about 11.30pm yesterday (Thursday 31 January 2019).

He was taken to Castle Hill Police Station, where he was charged with six counts of sexual intercourse with child aged between 10 and 16.

Police will allege in court that the man sexually assaulted the girl on numerous occasions between June 2016 and January 2019, while she was aged between 11 and 14.

The man was refused bail to appear at Parramatta Local Court today (Friday 1 February 2019).

Inquiries continue.
