Man charged over alleged stabbing, NSW

A man has been charged after another man was allegedly stabbed in Sydney’s yesterday.

Emergency services were called to Cook Avenue, Canley Vale, just before 6pm (Monday 31 December 2018), where they found a 44-year-old man outside a home with a stab wound to his neck.

He was taken to Liverpool Hospital where he remains in a serious but stable condition.

Officers from Fairfield City Police Area Command attended and commenced inquiries into the incident.

A 61-year-old man was arrested at the scene and taken to Fairfield Police Station.

He was charged with cause wounding/grievous bodily harm to person with intent to murder, common assault (DV), and stalk/intimidate intend fear physical etc harm.

The Canley Vale man was refused bail to appear at Parramatta Bail Court today (Tuesday 1 January 2019).

The pair were known to each other.
