Detectives have charged a man with alleged child abuse material offences in the state’s Central Tablelands region.
In December 2025, officers attached to Chifley Police District commenced an investigation into the alleged possession of child abuse material by a 77-year-old man in the Bathurst area.
About 10.15am Wednesday 3 June 2026, detectives executed a search warrant at a unit in Windradyne.
During the search, police located and seized electronic devices.
The 77-year-old man was arrested at the scene and was taken to Bathurst Police Station where he was charged with possess child abuse material (two counts).
He was granted strict conditional bail to appear before Bathurst Local Court on Wednesday 15 July 2026.
