A 53-year-old man formerly from Adelaide was arrested earlier this week and charged with 12 counts of deception.
The accused was arrested on Tuesday (27 November) after he arrived in Adelaide from London where he has been residing.
It will be alleged he defrauded the victim of about $430,000 while working as a building works supervisor and project manager between 1 November 2010 and 30 November 2012.
After being arrested and charged by detectives from the SA Police Major Fraud Investigation Section, the accused was refused bail and appeared in the Adelaide Magistrates Court.
He was remanded on bail to appear in court again on 15 August 2019.
