Man crashes into home, blows mid-range PCA, NSW

A man has been charged with mid-range PCA after crashing into a house in the state’s Central West on the weekend.

Emergency services were called to a home on Lister Drive, Orange, about 9.45pm on Saturday (13 June 2020), following reports that a white Toyota Hilux had crashed into a home.

Police will allege the driver attempted to negotiate a sweeping bend in the road when it lost control and crashed into the home.

Occupants were home at the time; however, no one was injured.

The driver, a 20-year-old man, was attended to by NSW Ambulance paramedics before he was subjected to a breath test by officers, returning a positive result.

He was arrested and taken to Orange Police Station, where a subsequent breath analysis returned a reading of 0.112.

The man was charged with drive with middle range PCA and is due to appear at Orange Local Court on Monday 17 August 2020.

He was also issued a licence suspension notice.
