A man has died while swimming at a beach near Crescent Head yesterday afternoon.
Just after 5pm yesterday (Tuesday 24 January 2023), emergency services were called to Delicate Nobby, just south of Crescent Head, after reports an unconscious man had been pulled from the water.
Members of the public performed CPR until the arrival of police and paramedics; however, the man died at the scene.
He is yet to be formally identified but is believed to be a Queensland man aged in his 50s.
Officers attached to Mid North Coast Police District have commenced an investigation into the circumstances surrounding the incident.
A report will be prepared for the information of the Coroner.
