Man dies after being shot in Tregear

A man has died after being shot at his home in Sydney’s west this morning.

Officers from Mt Druitt Police Area Command were called to a granny flat in Rymill Street, Tregear, shortly after 2.35am (Monday 30 November 2020), after reports two men had forced their way into the flat and attacked the resident.

Police arrived to find a 30-year-old man suffering gunshot wounds to his leg and shoulder. NSW Ambulance paramedics began treating the man; however, he died at the scene.

A crime scene has been established and an investigation is now underway by detectives attached to Mt Druitt PAC, assisted by State Crime Command’s Homicide Squad.
