A man has died following a crash in the states Riverina Region yesterday.
About 2pm (Wednesday 18 February 2026), emergency services were called to the intersection of Condobolin Road and Ridleys Lane, West Wyalong, following reports of a crash.
Officers attached to the Traffic and Highway Patrol Command attended and found a ute and a prime mover had collided head on.
The driver of the ute – a man aged in his 50s – died at the scene.
He is yet to be formally identified.
The driver of the prime mover – a 42-year-old man – was not injured.
He was taken to Wyalong District Hospital for mandatory testing.
A crime scene was established as police commenced inquiries into the circumstances surrounding the crash.
A report will be prepared for the coroner.
