Man dies after motorcycle collision in Yadboro

A man from Conjola Park has died after his motorcycle collided with a fallen tree on the state’s south coast.

About 1.15am (Sunday 2 June 2019) two men riding trail bikes, travelled west down Blue Gum Flat Road, Yadboro in the Morton National Park.

The first man collided with a fallen gum tree, causing his bike to flip. The 25-year-old was not wearing a helmet and suffered critical head injuries.

His riding companion hit the same tree shortly after but avoided serious injury. He left the scene to seek assistance from friends at a nearby camp site.

On returning to the collision site, the group found the man unresponsive and emergency services were contacted.

About 2.30am (Sunday 2 June 2019), officers from South Coast Police District along with NSW Ambulance personnel arrived. The man was pronounced deceased by ambulance officers at the crash site.

A crime scene was established, and the deceased man was transported to Milton Hospital Mortuary. A report is being prepared for the coroner.
