Man dies after single-vehicle truck crash in Riverina

A man has died following a single-vehicle crash in the state’s Riverina overnight.

About 10.20pm (Wednesday 22 December 2021), emergency services were called to Shoards Road, Grogan, about 25km north-east of Temora, following reports a B-double truck, towing two trailers, had left the roadway and rolled.

A passing motorist notified emergency services and commenced CPR on the driver until the arrival of NSW Ambulance paramedics.

Despite their efforts, the driver and sole occupant a – a 62-year-old man – died at the scene.

Officers attached to Riverina Police District established a crime scene and commenced an investigation into the circumstances surrounding the crash.

As inquiries continue, anyone with information or who may have dashcam footage from the area, is urged to contact police.

A report will be prepared for the information of the Coroner.
