A man has died following a trail bike crash in the Illawarra yesterday.
About 11.40am (Tuesday 13 October 2020), police were called to Aitkin Place, Lake Heights, following reports a man had crashed an unregistered trail bike into a parked car.
Officers from Lake Illawarra Police District attended and commenced inquiries.
The 18-year-old man was airlifted to hospital in a critical condition with suspected head injuries. He was pronounced deceased earlier today (Wednesday 14 October 2020).
The rider was believed to be wearing a helmet at the time of the crash.
A report will be prepared for the information of the Coroner.
