Man dies after truck crash – Cecil Hills

A man has died following a single-vehicle crash in Sydney’s south-west overnight.

About 7.30pm (Thursday 9 November 2023), emergency services were called to the M7 Motorway, Cecil Hills, following reports a truck had rolled and caught on fire.

The male driver and sole occupant of the truck died at the scene. He is yet to be formally identified but is believed to be aged in his 50s.

Fire and Rescue NSW extinguished the fire.

Officers from Liverpool City Police Area Command established a crime scene, which was forensically examined by specialist police.

As inquiries continue, anyone with information or dashcam footage is urged to call police or Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000.

A report will be prepared for the Coroner.
