A man has died following a crash in Sydney’s west.
About 5pm yesterday (Sunday 27 September 2026), emergency services were called to Richmond Road, Colebee, following reports of a crash.
Officers from Riverstone Police Area Command, with the assistance of Mount Druitt Police Area Command, Blacktown Police Area Command and Traffic and Highway Patrol Command, attended and found a sedan and SUV had collided.
The driver and passenger of the sedan were trapped in the vehicle.
NSW Ambulance paramedics attended and, with the assistance of two off duty police officers, treated the driver – a 19-year-old man – before he was taken to hospital in a critical condition.
Police were later told the 19-year-old driver died while on the way to hospital.
The passenger – also a 19-year-old man – was freed from the vehicle with the assistance of Fire and Rescue NSW.
He was treated by paramedics before being taken to hospital in a critical condition.
The driver of the SUV – a 28-year-old man – was treated by paramedics for minor injuries and taken to hospital for further treatment and mandatory testing.
A crime scene was established and an investigation into the crash has commenced.
