A man has died after a two-vehicle crash in the state’s south today.
About 1:30am (Saturday 27 February 2021), emergency services were called to the Sturt Highway, near Tarcutta, following reports a truck and a ute had collided.
The driver of the ute, believed to be aged in his late twenties, died at the scene. He is yet to be formally identified.
The male truck driver was treated by paramedics for minor injuries. The 66-year-old was taken to Wagga Wagga Hospital for mandatory testing.
Officers from Riverina Police District attended and are investigating the circumstances surrounding the incident.
A report is being prepared for the coroner.
