Man dies in fatal crash near Lismore, NSW

A man has died following a two-vehicle crash at Tuncester, about 10km west of Lismore, today.

About 3.10pm (Tuesday 10 December 2019), a Nissan Pulsar sedan and a Holden Epica sedan were travelling in opposite directions on Kyogle Road when they collided near the intersection of Leycester Road.

A number of witnesses stopped and rendered assistance.

The driver and sole occupant of the Nissan Pulsar, a 25-year-old man, died at the scene.

The 17-year-old male driver of the Holden Epica suffered serious internal and leg injuries and was taken to Lismore Base Hospital. He was later transferred to Gold Coast University Hospital in a serious but stable condition.

His passenger, a 16-year-old boy, suffered lacerations and was taken to Lismore Base Hospital in a stable condition.

Officers from Richmond Police District established a crime scene and are investigating the circumstances surrounding the crash.
