A man has died in hospital after a crash in Surry Hills last month.
About 11.15am, Saturday 20 June 2026, emergency services responded to reports of a crash involving a Kia Cerato and a pedestrian at the intersection of Albion and Crown Streets, Surry Hills.
NSW Ambulance paramedics attended and treated the pedestrian – a 66-year-old man – before he was taken to St Vincents Hospital for further treatment.
The driver of the Kia – a 60-year-old woman – was uninjured.
Officers from Surry Hills Police Area Command established a crime scene and commenced an investigation into the crash.
About 1pm yesterday (Saturday 19 July 2026), police were told the 66-year-old man died in hospital.
A report will be prepared for the information of the Coroner.
Inquiries into the circumstances of the crash are ongoing.
