Man faces court today over string of break-ins, armed robbery offences at Orange, NSW

A man will face court today on 14 charges relating to break-in and armed robbery offences alleged to have occurred in the state’s Central West region.

Officers attached to Central West Police District commenced an investigation into a spike in residential break and enters in the Orange and Glenroi areas between August and October 2019.

Numerous items of jewellery, electronics and cash were reported stolen from various locations, including that of an elderly man who was allegedly confronted by the man inside his Warrendine Street home at Orange on Sunday 22 September 2019.

Following inquiries, officers attached to Central West Police District arrested the 39-year-old man at an address on Davidson Circuit at Glenroi, about 10.20am yesterday (Tuesday 15 October 2019).

He was taken to Orange Police Station and charged with the following offences:

  • Break enter and steal (x7)
  • Break and enter with intent
  • Aggravated break and enter (x3)
  • Robbery
  • Demand property with menaces with intent to steal
  • In dwelling steal and break out

The man was bail refused to appear before Orange Local Court today (Wednesday 16 October 2019).
