An investigation is underway after a man was found with stab wounds near Wollongong overnight.
About 9.20pm (Thursday 23 April 2020), police from Lake Illawarra Police District were called to a car park on the Princes Highway, Unanderra following reports of an injured man.
A 32-year-old man was located suffering two stab wounds to his chest and abdomen. He was treated by NSW Ambulance paramedics, before being taken to Wollongong Hospital in a stable condition.
Officers established a crime scene, which was examined by specialist forensic officers.
Lake Illawarra detectives are investigating the circumstances surrounding the incident and appealing for anyone who was in the area to come forward.
