Man in critical condition after assault at Parramatta, NSW

A man has been found critically injured after an assault at Parramatta today.

About 4pm (Friday 23 October 2020), emergency services were called to Queens Wharf Reserve near Macarthur Street, following reports of two males fighting.

Officers from Cumberland Police Area Command arrived to find a man, believed to be aged in his 30s, suffering head injuries.

He was treated at the scene by paramedics before being taken to Westmead Hospital in a critical condition.

A crime scene has been established and an investigation commenced.

As inquiries continue, police area appealing to anyone who might have been in the area and witnessed the incident to come forward.

Detectives would also like to speak to a man who might be able to assist them.

He is described as being of Pacific Islander/Maori appearance with no shirt on.
