Detectives have arrested a man following a fatal stabbing at Redfern this morning.
Officers from South Sydney Police Area Command were called to a home unit on Morehead Street shortly before 1am (Sunday 16 February), and found a 54-year-old man with a stab wound to his back.
NSW Ambulance paramedics attempted to revive the man, but he died at the scene.
Strike Force Otama has been formed to investigate the man’s death and, about 6am, detectives arrested a 48-year-old man at Waterloo.
He has been taken to Mascot Police Station where he is assisting police with inquiries.
