Man injured after vehicle stolen in Noranda

Mirrabooka Detectives are seeking information regarding an incident involving a stolen vehicle in Noranda on Monday, 1 May 2023.

About 7.40pm, a 25-year-old man observed an unknown person inside his Ford Ranger utility which was parked at his home on Camboon Road in Noranda. As the offender was driving off with the vehicle, the 25-year-old man grabbed hold of the vehicle’s roof rack.

The offender drove the stolen Ford Ranger through several streets with the man clinging to the roof rack. As the vehicle turned onto Emberson Road near Spruce Road in Morley, the 25-year-old man was thrown from the vehicle. He was conveyed by ambulance to hospital with a head injury and abrasions to his body.

The stolen vehicle is described as a 2016 model, white Ford Ranger utility, with a white canopy, a black snorkel, black roof rack, rims and front bumper, and Victorian Registration 1UZ3WV.
