A man has been arrested following a fatal collision in Bell Park last night.
A Volkswagen and Kia Sorrento collided on Thompson Road shortly after 9pm.
A man, who was hanging off the side of the Kia at the time of the collision, died at the scene after being thrown from the vehicle when it overturned.
The male driver of the Kia allegedly fled from the scene and was arrested a short time later by patrolling local police.
He has been taken to hospital with serious injuries.
The female driver of the Volkswagen was taken to hospital with minor injuries.
Major Collision Investigation Unit detectives are investigating and would like to speak to anyone who saw a black Kia Sorrento travelling between Hamlyn Heights and Bells Park with a man hanging onto the side of the car.
