Police have set up a crime scene and detectives are investigating following reports a man may have been injured in Derrimut overnight.
The exact circumstances surrounding the incident are still being established after a call was made to police saying a man was seen lying in the middle of East Derrimut Crescent just after 11.15pm.
Attending police did not find anyone laying on the road but discovered a number of personal items on the roadway.
Officers from the Dog Squad also searched the area and surrounding streets and located what appeared to be blood in a number of locations.
A crime scene has been set up while detectives work to determine the nature of the incident.
Police are still to locate anyone who may have been injured and are appealing for anyone with information to come forward.
Anyone who may have heard or seen anything in the vicinity of East Derrimut Crescent, West Court or Derrimut Drive or who may have been in the area with a dash cam in their car is urged to call Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000.
