Man pulled from house fire by police in Rossmore

Five officers have been hospitalised after pulling a man from a home in Sydney’s west overnight.

About 4am (Sunday 31 October 2021), emergency services were called to a care home on Emmetts Farm Road, Rossmore, after reports of a fire.

The man was physically dragged from the home where he regained consciousness. He was treated by NSW Ambulance paramedics and taken to Liverpool Hospital suffering smoke inhalation.

Police used a garden hose to extinguish the blaze, that had caused significant damage to the home.
