Man rescued off rocks at Port Elliot

Great team effort by emergency services to rescue a man injured on rocks at Port Elliot this afternoon.

About 1.30pm on Saturday 10 August, a man aged in his 30s was climbing over rocks at Port Elliot with his partner and two children when he was knocked over by a wave, injuring his leg.

Police, paramedics and SES volunteers attended and used people-power to rescue him from the rocks and carry him to safety.

He was taken to the South Coast District Hospital for treatment of minor injuries.
